❄️ Storage rules that keep your meds safe + effective
❄️ Storage rules that keep your meds safe + effective
Let’s talk storage - not the most exciting part, but it does make the difference between a vial that works exactly as it should… and one that loses its potency.
🧠 Why correct storage matters
Peptides are sensitive molecules. Heat, light, moisture, and bacteria can all break them down or affect how well they work.
👉 Store them properly = stable, effective, predictable results
👉 Store them poorly = reduced strength, shorter shelf life, inconsistent results
👉 Storing lyophilised powder (before mixing)
What to do:
Store in the back of the fridge once you receive it, between 1-8 degrees.
Ideally, place it into a dark case to protect it from light. Fridge door temps fluctate so the back of the fridge is usually better. Make sure it doesn't freeze though!
Avoid sunlight, bathrooms, and hot cars
Keep the vial sealed until use
Why:
In powder form, your peptide is at its most stable. Heat and moisture are the main enemies here - keeping it cool and dry protects its structure. The vials do ok at room temperature for a while (that's how we send them to you with no problem), but they will last a lot longer in the fridge and it's a more stable environment for them.
👉 Shelf life: up to 24 months (unopened)
👉 Storing reconstituted medication (after mixing)
What to do:
Must be stored in the fridge now (2–8°C). Don't leave at room temperature for extended periods.
Keep it upright
Store in a dark container if possible
Don’t freeze
Avoid the fridge door (temperature fluctuates too much)
Why:
Once mixed, the peptide becomes much more delicate. The fridge slows down breakdown and helps maintain potency and sterility for longer.
👉 Shelf life: up to 90 days (when reconstituted properly, stored correctly and you use an alcohol wipe to clean to top of the vial each time)
👉 Storing Bacteriostatic water (bac water)
What to do:
Store at room temperature, away from light.
Once opened, use within 28 days
Always wipe the top with an alcohol swab before use
Why:
Even though it contains a preservative, it’s still important to keep things clean and controlled to avoid contamination.
👉 Shelf life:
Unopened: ~18 months
Opened: 28 days
